Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
Is peace truly ruling in my heart?
It's not often the place that I start
I usually begin with worry and fear
And asking God how I got here
In hard times peace can be hard to find
And adverse thoughts can warp the mind
But Jesus himself left us with peace
Not to push away but to receive
When fear is so strong and thick like smoke
Enough to cause panic and start to choke
He asks me to breathe in His holy air
And know in my soul that He's always there
The God of Ages knows your pain
Let His love come down like a soaking rain
Let His peace settle deep into your soul
Until all you know is that He's in control
With God His promises are always true
He never fails and always comes through
He provides and guides and works out His plan
In this we have peace, though we don't understand
His ways are much higher and we can't comprehend
What He's working out for good in the end
So while the night is dark and rough are the seas
Look to Him for light, hope, and persistent peace.
