Let God Lead

He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1:17‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I like to use GPS even when I think I know where I’m going. Passengers in my car have sometimes questioned why I’m using it, asking, “But don’t you know where you’re going?” I usually share that I like to use GPS because it will show if there is an accident, traffic, or even a speed trap that I obviously can’t see ahead of me. GPS uses a system of satellites in space that can see far more than I can.

Since God has already gone before us to every destination that we are traveling to, why not let God lead? Why make assumptions about the journey or even how things will be when we get to where we think we are headed? He wants to guide us, protect us, and more importantly, use the path for His purpose. When we surrender to God’s omniscience and the neverending promise of His love and protection, our steps are much less stressful.

Let’s acknowledge who all-knowing God is and let Him lead the way. And let’s trust in Him as our ultimate satellite, looking to Him to navigate us through and to where He wants us to be.
