Faithful Friend

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

Romans 12:12 NIV
Hope is bigger than we can see
It stretches beyond reality
For hope is from God, the limitless One
Who created the earth, the moon, and the sun.

We often don’t know what God has in store
When all seems lost and we can’t take any more
But God uses those times to mold and refine
He knows what He’s doing, what He has in mind.

It’s hard to see how He’s making a way
But He wants us to seek Him and to pray
And in our times of deepest need
God wants to set us completely free…

Free of relying on this world for peace
Looking to him for sweet relief
Knowing that He works out all things for good
Even when hard times are not understood.

Being joyful in hope is a way to live
To know that God has much to give
And through pain there is much purpose
Often through troubles, God calls us to service.

Our trials can seem like the very end
But God uses them to heal and mend
To restore the connection with God and child
And make it known that He’s been there all the while.

So while it is difficult to be patient
Our joy is in Jesus, who our loving God sent
Hope's not in vain when we put our trust in Him.
He is our merciful, loving, and faithful friend!
