Glory Revealed

I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. Romans 8:18

Sighs, groans, grumbles, and cries
The sounds of dealing with hurts and lies
The world has much to weigh us down
But we are not doomed to a constant frown

Our Lord in heaven prepares a place for us
There is hope because of his son, Jesus
Who paid the price and redeems our souls
So that we have forgiveness and can be made whole

It’s easy to get downcast frustrated and sad
With how things are going, one can get quite mad
Senseless violence, evil, and greed
It can be a rarity to see a good deed

But our current heartaches and feelings of grief
Will one day be met with sweet relief
We will behold a place like no other
In perfect peace with our Heavenly Father

If your heart is troubled and soul is weary
And you find yourself feeling empty and teary
It is to be expected while here on this earth
For we are meant for a glorious rebirth

We can only look to God for his guidance while here
That we would have faith over every fear
Faith in the face of heart breaking blows
Faith because He is the God who knows

He knows your pain but He holds tomorrow
And He knows that one day, you will have no sorrow
He’ll be the light in the darkest of places
And His light can shine through each of our faces

So, while we groan with the state of things
To our Creator who loves us, let us cling
Cling to His promises and His power and might
That He is control through the day and night

Let’s be the light and love where we can
And each day, each moment take His hand
Know that God is writing your story
And it will only begin as He leads you to Glory.
