Never Hidden

Swept sky at sunset – photo by Jill Rushbrook
Lord you are always in plain sight
You're in the glow of the moon at night
You're in the frosty dew on the leaves
And the wind that rattles the branches on trees.

Oh Lord you’re not hidden from my view
You're in every color and earthly hue
The burnt orange of an autumn sunset
A brilliant blue sky that one can't forget

How often I feel so alone and afraid
But when I truly look at all that you've made
That's when I see that you're everywhere
Your hand is at work in the very air

How much more at work are you in my life
Sending winds of change and painting light
Let me see that your hand is creating art
You've been making a masterpiece from the start

Let me be a lump of clay to mold
May I be of use until I grow old
And never lose sight that I'm in progress
And knowing this, may I find my rest.

Psalm 19:1 ESV

Psalm 139:13-14 ESV
For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.

Ephesians 2:10 ESV
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
