Refresh and Refocus

He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.

Psalms 23:3 NIV

Dear Lord, please refresh my soul 
In you alone can I be whole 
Help me Lord to be your light
May others see with a new sight…

And see your love, your endless grace,
Know your mercy, find their place
Let me not focus on what I can get
But rather focus on needs unmet

Please use the gifts you have bestowed
The talents and skills to you I owe
Lead me in your purpose and your will
Help me before you to just be still

Life's hurried pace can be too much
It seems I'm always in a rush
Help me to know I'm found in you
You love me and care about my every move

May my movements be guided by you
May I take the time to know your truth
And come before You in earnest prayer
Knowing you hear and always are there

Refocus my life and grant me peace
May my worries and fretting simply cease
I give You my cares and ask for your hand
That You will guide me in Your plan 

And quiet the doubts about who I can be 
To You, there's no impossibility
Open doors and make a way  
To live out your purpose every day.
