Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.”
Luke 18:27 NIV
I always dread taking down the Christmas tree. There is something magical about the lights, the smell of fresh pine, and the beautiful ornaments. The entire Christmas season is full of wonder and great mystery. And I’m not talking about Santa Clause. How did God come to be man yet still God in the embodiment of Jesus Christ on earth? How did God the Father send His son knowing the pain, suffering and ultimate sacrifice He would make? How did the Creator of the universe stoop so low to be born in a stable with livestock? It is all such a mystery but the only clarity and answer is…love.
Just because the Christmas season ends doesn’t mean the mystery of God’s amazing love and faithfulness ends. Jesus Christ was God’s gift, and that gift keeps giving if we let Him unravel His mysterious ways in our lives. He can still move mountains, split the sea, and do the very thing you may believe is impossible. There are no limits to what God can do when we have faith and believe in Him.
It forever will be a mystery why God sent His blameless son to a blemished world. But He loves us and is nowhere near finished working in and through us. Let’s hold on and embrace this glorious mystery each day and see what marvelous things God has in store for us.

Miracles still happen, even if we don’t recognize them…
