Evergreens in winter – photo by Jill Rushbrook
How big you are, how small I am
To fully understand your plan
But you, my God, walk next to me
And listen to my every plea
I need your help, you hear my cries
My soul it aches, it almost dies
But you fill it up, with your love and peace
Your faithfulness will never cease
You know my heart and I need to know
That you care for me, and want to show…
Your goodness, joy, all in your time
You’ll make me new and make me shine
I will have faith and rest in you
In you is light, hope, and truth
I’ve lost my way, I know this now
Of things I’ve done, I am not proud
But you drew me close, you called me near
In your loving hands, you hold me dear
You want what’s best, what you planned for me
I must have faith, though I cannot see
I will praise the God who only knows
Why fierce and violent winds do blow
And while my tears fall in the night
You’ll make it good. You’ll make it right.
You’ll see me through this storm so cruel
The sun will shine, your love will rule
I’ll sing of blessings in my life
Despite the hardships, pain, and strife.
I’ll see your goodness, mercy flow
Through you, my light will burn and glow
And night will bring forth brighter days
To you, my God, be endless praise!
